Once Upon a Pageant Philosophy & Rules

The Rules & Regulations should answer any questions you might have about your participation in Once Upon a Pageant.

Once Upon a Pageant focuses on the Natural Beauty that each of our participants possess. Building a world where girls and boys everywhere have
the tools to inspire each other in a
positive fun & supportive manner. Regardless of age, weight, ethnicity we want to help shape the girls and
boys of our future into strong in- dependant compassionate young men and women. We believe our Pageants help build character and leadership
abilities in our participants.

The purpose of our Natural Beauty Pageant is to promote self-worth & confidence,acceptance and love for our Natural Beauty Inside and Out,
missing Teeth, glasses & braces included ! While learning key interpersonal skills, poise, stage presence, and good grooming habits along the
way. Our pageant strongly encourages contestants to participate without beauty enhancements and our judges are advocates of our philosophy.

At Once Upon a Pageant  every child is a Star! Every participant gains something from participating, along with building character and leadership
abilities in young girls and boys. Every child is rewarded with Gifts and Awards


Bad Sportsmanship
will not be tolerated by any contestant or their guest and will result in disqualification and removal from the pageant event.
Pageant Director has the right to remove any contestant or audience member from the pageant event


WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU
The foremost requirement of participants entering a Once Upon a Pageant event,is good sportsmanship and having the right attitude toward
competition.
In life, as well as in competition, it is not important who won or lost... but, how you played the game..If you enter the pageant with a positive attitude
you will find that your participation will be a rewarding and meaningful experience that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Practice this Golden Rule and treat your fellow participants as you would want them to treat you.
If you are not someone who can sincerely Congratulate the winner and share in his/ her happiness, then Once Upon a Pageant is
not for you!
Good Sportsmanship should be followed at all time


Key Points to Remember

Judges decisions are FINAL

Good sportsmanship is essential in competition!

The pageant staff will not tolerate any behavior that is not in the spirit of an elegant pageant competition.

If any contestant, parent, or member of a contestant's party does not conduct themselves in a proper manner, or disrupts the pageant in any way,
at any time, it will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiting of all prizes, fees, titles, awards, etc.

We will not disclose the entry Names/Numbers for any age division prior to the pageant. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Anyone arriving late for line-up during the competition or going excessively over the time limit will be subject to point deductions from each judge


Music selected for Optional Categories & Talent should be age appropriate and not contain inappropriate lyrics.

All winners must give the pageant permission to use their photograph for publicity purposes in connection with the pageant.

Contestants giving gifts to other contestants may do so only after the competition has ended. Candy or other edible gifts may only be offered with
the child's parent or guardian's permission.
